Heathers 2?
Jun. 1st, 2009 09:58 pmSame writer. Same director. Same two principal actors.
"Whatever you hear, there is a sequel in the works. I swear to God," she told the magazine. "But for some reason the writer Dan Waters and director Michael Lehman don't want to talk about it. I've been wanting to do a sequel forever. There is a story, and Christian [Slater] has agreed to come back as a kind of Obi-Wan character."

What the hell?
Feb. 27th, 2009 09:13 pmI go back to sleep and
scans_daily gets suspended? What did you people do?!?
ETA: Well, according to
kali921 and
box_in_the_box and others, Peter David threw a bitch fit to Marvel over learning about scans of his latest issue of X-Factor. And so LJ abuse took it down for copyright violation. I'd say I'll never buy David's books again, but I haven't bought anything of his since Young Justice and his 90s X-Factor anyway...

scans_daily had a lot of whiny bullshit on it, just like any internet community. But I've found several friends and cool journals thru it in addition to new comics. I've enjoyed seeing the occasional creator get involved in the discussion of a comic. From Gail Simone to Dan Slott to Warren Ellis to McKelvie and Gillen...
I understand there is a version of the community on InsaneJournal. So congrats LJ, you've encouraged me to find one MORE reason to use my IJ more often...

Plundering My Childhood
Feb. 3rd, 2009 09:31 pmSince movie studios are big on live-action 80s cartoon you know what I'd like to see? Jem & The Holograms. Except with the focus on struggling punk girl band The Misfits (who would probably have to change their name because there already is a real band named that) trying to succeed and being seemingly blocked at every turn by the corporate managed glam/bubblegum pop band...
