It helped a lot going into this movie knowing that it would be really, really dumb.  Let me enjoy all the 'splosions and brave military orphans and the call-backs and the more 'splosions and Brent Spiner.  Oh and that one dude cutting an alien to pieces with his mad ninja machete skills.  I almost look forward to a potential third movie where we finally take the fight to the jerk aliens...

The stepfather wanted to see the Guvernator new action movie this time around. Which mostly wasn't terrible in a Just a Dumb Action Movie kind of way. Luis Guzman and Johnny Knoxville were both well above par in it. And the climatic cops vs. mercenaries gun fight is actually pretty good. Sadly though Arnie seems to have forgotten the basics of the trade he once knew. But what moves the movie from OK to Oh Fucking Cmon is the car. The fucking car...

Part of the set-up for the film is a "special" and unique Corvette. One thats like extra super fast. And every scene involving it left me just shaking my head and muttering. And I know almost fuck all about cars. But the Super 'Vette is supposedly stolen from touring car shows or something to be used as a getaway vehicle for federal fugitive. Who proceeds to drive it non-stop at around 200mph from Vegas to the Arizona/Mexico border. And rams a pair of SWAT team Hummers, making them crash. And otherwise seems more like the car from Knight Rider without the A.I. than anything else. And thats all leaving aside my pet peeve where people steal vastly expensive cars and race them around all without the owners just turning the engine off remotely...

Argh. Stupid fucking car...

Ugh

The “Occupy” movement, whether displaying itself on Wall Street or in the streets of Oakland (which has, with unspeakable cowardice, embraced it) is anything but an exercise of our blessed First Amendment. “Occupy” is nothing but a pack of louts, thieves, and rapists, an unruly mob, fed by Woodstock-era nostalgia and putrid false righteousness. These clowns can do nothing but harm America.

Go back to FedEx building.

Get package they can't manage to deliver to the house.

Burn down building.

Salt the ground so that nothing may e'er grow there again.

Fuckin' hell. I order from Amazon like 2 or 3 times a month and UPS manages to deliver to me just fucking fine. I have the Book-of-the-Month club and USPS gets me THAT package fine. Slowly. But fine. And yet you people can't manage the task of dropping off a damn package at a damn residence...

Had my vacation request for St. Patrick's Day turned down. No Flogging Molly concert this year. Instead I get to deal with drunk Spring Training attendees. Joy...

Seriously? I'm sorry but when girly sacrifices her cat in an attempt to appease the demon sent after her by the evil gypsy hag? Thats when I give up on your movie...

I would recruit Jesus, Superman and a giant squid. I'm pretty sure all of those are on some team. I wouldn't even bother turning them into vampires...

Because I had the fees for filing deducted by TurboTax from the total amount I was getting refunded, I won't get a direct deposit on the Stimulus Rebate. Instead they'll mail me a paper check. In June.

From here. This is the important bit for me (and possibly some of you):

A. Taxpayers who use Refund Anticipation Loans (RALs) or enter into any other loans or financial agreements with a tax professional, such as agreeing to have return preparation fees deducted from their refunds, cannot receive their stimulus payments by direct deposit and instead will get paper checks based on the paper check distribution schedule.

Hurry up and get here you stupid football game. I'd like to just have to deal with the normal idiocy. Urgh. Still have the weekend to get thru. When its not just the constant annoying SUPERBOWL IS COMING hype. But it will be all the damn guests. Spoiled bastards able to spend 500, 600, 700 plus a night. In advance. Not counting actual ticket costs or other expenses. JUST for hotel costs. All likely drunk...

Maybe I can break my foot? *sad puppy eyes* Can't work. Foot all broken...

If you lived on a deserted island and could only have one photograph, which one would it be?

I'm going to go with a giant photograph of all the pages of the book How to Build and Operate Primitive Sailboats. Ye Tod these questions are stupid...

The nice people over at [community profile] scans_daily remind us that noted cop-killer and crazy person Norman Osborne being on the Thunderbolts team is a remarkably stupid idea. And that for it to be even vaguely possible, 616-Marvel Earthers have to have the brains of rutabegas. Which given the things Joey Q says about what the public believes might be possible...
