I mean the dude's done TWO movies. A remake of a Romero zombie flick and an adaptation of a Frank Miller comic. I wouldn't really call that visionary...

Your Movie Life Meme, part 4
Jul. 27th, 2008 03:27 amFair warning, after '02 its pretty impossible to use the myvideo site for pulling out movies. It starts hitting the triple digits in "movies" released for the year. And wikipedia only gives a dozen movies or less. So really I'm going off randomly scanning the lists and vague memory here...
2000: A tie between Unbreakable and O Brother, Where Art Thou. Though if I ever manage to psychicly change Bring It On so Dunst and Dushku make out? Totally taking first place. A Reminder That This Movie Has Spider-Man and IronMan Have Sex: Wonder Boys. Movie I Waste With My Crossbow: Dungeons & Dragons. Movie You Should Stop Reading This List For and Go Watch: Deterrence.
'01: There are several movies that I enjoy more every time I catch them. Evolution, A Knight's Tale and Ocean's 11. And then there's Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back. With Carlin blowing truckers, an orangutang and Smith convincing his wife to make out with another girl on film. Or Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. Which is the easiest of the three to watch. But Pitt's accent and role just soooo makes Snatch work for me. "Do yeh lak dags?"
'02: Lilo & Stitch. Shut. Up. No really. Shut it. Its perfect. Movie You Likely Missed But Should See: The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys
'03: So many franchise movies. But I have to go with the first Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. So surprisingly good. And X2 has too much Halle. Bleh on her Storm. Bleh!
'04: Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story. Its like every awesome sports movie squished into one with a guy who talks like a pirate.
'05: Serenity. Can't take the sky from me!
'06: While Casino Royale does an awesome job of restarting the Bond franchise. And there were likely other great movies that I can't recall. But even then, top honors have to go to Brick.
'07: Hot Fuzz is one of a half-dozen or so movies that all pass the I own this, will watch it on occasion and will ALWAYS watch it if I just come across it while channel surfing.
'08: Really still too early to say. Haven't seen the new Batman. But just on what I've caught so far its a toss up between IronMan and Wall-E
