One of the Native American kids in the next Twillight movie is named Kiowa Gordon. His bio says he's Hualapai. Anyone more familiar with various tribal histories know if they are connected to the Kiowa?

Its a tale of murder and betrayal and greed and love and destiny. Of beautiful dames and deadly killers and gloomy thugs. A story as old as man. Featuring a cast of thousands and an elephant! A city in flames! Lovers torn asunder! A mysterious object! The horrors of war! The grandeur of kings! The simple kindness of a mother's touch...
All that!
Maybe!

The Heroic Legacy of The Weasel
Nov. 19th, 2008 05:05 amI doubt I'm alone in that when I first started coming with super-hero parody concepts many were Batman/Robin types. When I took many of those earlier ideas and started to try and write for Superguy I ended up discarding most of them. And when I gathered up the various concepts from that for what I want to do with my Superfic stories, I trimmed away nearly all the rest. Because most of them were really, really stupid. I mean REALLY stupid. And this is from a guy who STILL thinks a Hulk-parody named SMURF! is awesome. But yeah, HatchetMan and Kid Cutlery? Finding-StuffMan and Lost Boy. TERRIBLE IDEAS. But one managed to stick with me. Mostly because I actually had a few story ideas for the sidekick. So BadgerMan and Kid Weasel remained...
And then later I began thinking, hmmm. Future stories. So the sidekick is now the main hero. And he's got a sidekick. But what if thats a TRADITION? If there is a LINE of heroes and sidekicks stretching back generations...
And so the The Heroic Legacy of the Weasel:
Lord Weasel & Childe Sable
Sir Sable & Squire Mink
The Comte de Mink & Young Ferret
Mr. Ferret & Lil' Otter
The Lone Otter & the Fisher Kid
The Fisher & Wolverine Boy
Captain Wolverine & Skunk Boy
SkunkMan & Badger Lad
BadgerMan & Kid Weasel
The Weasel & Ms. Mustelid

Things I've Learned By Polling, part IX
Oct. 3rd, 2008 02:07 am1) In the matter of animal martial artists people would least like to fight its a toss-up between bears, tiny dinosaurs, lizards that look like people and bunny rabbits. Which shows you people are all wrong, because its bears. I've played enough Tekken 2 with Kuma to know how invincible the bear who has mastered kung fu is...
2) Everyone just wants to hug everything, provided everything is cuddly...
3) Shoot it! Shoot! Shoot it now!
4) Most people hate everybody which is only proper...
5) Favored sidekick: A really smart dog that pretends it can't talk...
6) Most terrible of alien invaders would be either Kodus & Kang or the Dire Wraiths. But think if they worked together. THE HORROR!
7) Most anticipated non-exsistent movie to tv show? Tony Stark Blows Stuff Up on the Discovery Channel...
8) Most of you feel that misunderstood and broody monsters are NOT for make-outs. More demi-evil for smooches for the rest of us...
9) Rather than talk like a pirate, people should talk like a stern but possibly naughty librarian...
10) The election of the future will be a run-off between Optimus Prime and Time Travelling Emperor Norton I...
BONUS POLLS NOT CONNECTED TO FRIDAYS!
1) I'm a terrible, horrible person who no one likes? Screw you guys! When Sgt. Nikki Fury and Her Howler Commandoes go on to become a famous movie franchise and Saturday morning cartoon we'll see who's laughing then! It'll be me!
2) British accents seem to be considered sexiest, followed by Scottish. But no one wants to tear the clothes off a Welshman do they?

Super Naming Powers ACTIVATE
Aug. 3rd, 2007 04:13 amLooking over my super-hero fiction notes, I've got a lot of people with kid in their name.
Kid Weasel, SwimKid, Kid Quark, Kid Demonologist, Kid Dracula, Kid Bones, Disaster-Action-Kid. Not to mention assorted Girls, Grrls, Lads, Lasses and Maids. Actually looking I don't think I have any Lasses right now. There are TWO Grrls. Goth Grrl and Ninja Grrl, who aren't even vaguely associated with each other...
