They did manage to give a quick fix to that overpowered problem, which wasn't bad. Don't see how someone would age like that but overpower problem wouldn't suddenly have every wound and injury come back....
I think the power not only drains but reverses any effect it ever caused. Hence the guy who has been alive for 500 years crumbling into dust once his power to heal is drained.
That is what I am saying. The healing ability was taken away from the son as well. Wouldn't he now die from every wound it has healed him from if that was the case?
