Car? Why you no go car?

My car would not start this morning. It made evil clicking noises at me. So I had to wait for the AAA battery guy. He cleaned all the yuck off my battery. Then glared at it, because a Toyota Camry Wagon manages to have damn near everything be non-standard from a Camry. But eventually we got the car to make with the go. He thinks its MOSTLY the thingys that connect the battery to the cables that draw the power. But the battery is at LEAST a year and a half old (how long I've had the car), with the average life of a car battery in Phoenix being 2 years. Hopefully its not the rest of the cables. Or the starter. Or the alternator. It would be nice if this stays under $200...

Also last night was full of idiots. One of whom called the police to harass one of the other idiots. So. It was a less than fun night in many ways. Now for sleep...

A week ago, my father's Buick refused to re-start after a long round-trip sojourn. Mechanic came around to see the car today. Says the trouble might be a cylinder head gasket. Dad had me check the Blue Book prices on Yahoo! to see if it was worth it to get it fixed.
