As always the rules:

A. Pick 16 of your favorite movies. (Though I'm doing 20)
B. Then pick one of your favorite quotes from each movie.
C. Post the quotes in your journal.
D. Have those on your friends list try to guess what the movie is.
E. Strike out the quote once it has been correctly identified and place the guesser’s username directly after the quote.

And no Google cheating. 'Cause I'll know...

1. "My child, you have come to me my son. For who now is your father if it is not me? I am the well spring, from which you flow. When I am gone, you will have never been. What would your world be, without me? My son." is Conan the Barbarian conquered by [personal profile] the_outlaw

2. "Forgiveness is between them and God. It's my job to arrange the meeting." is Man on Fire avenged by [personal profile] the_outlaw

3. "I love you, I always will. Know that. But I'm not your fucking whore." is Chasing Amy given it good and deep by [profile] crimsonjoe

4. "He'll have you wrestling midgets in border towns for ten percent of the net." is Jesus Christ: Vampire Hunter sermoned on the mount by [personal profile] mishamish

5. "It's funny how people see me and treat me, since I'm really just a simple, boring person." is The Station Agent spotted by [profile] helzapoppn

6. "Doctor: Why is the last patient of the day always the hardest?
Patient: Because you're tired and you don't give a shit. It's nothing super-natural."
is The Departed ratted out by [personal profile] the_outlaw

7. "Out-of-town shooters. That's what I said. I remember hearing myself saying, "Out-of-town shooters." You know what? You don't pay a ho to fuck you. You pay her to leave. What you pay out-of-town shooters to do? You pay them to get the hell back out of town. That's why I asked for out-of-town shooters. What'd I get? In-town shooters. Someone decided to hire in-town shooters. You know what else I got for my money? In-town police. In-town trouble. Who's got to get in the ring with me on this?" is Four Brothers hunted down by [personal profile] theweaselking

8. "Who died and made you fucking king of the zombies?" is Shaun of the Dead head shot by Brendan (who should get a freaking LJ if he's gonna be constantly commenting since they're free and everything)

9. "Nihilists! Fuck me. I mean, say what you like about the tenets of National Socialism, Dude, at least it's an ethos." is The Big Lebowski picked up as a spare by Brendan

10. "Well believe me, Mike, I calculated the odds of this succeeding versus the odds I was doing something incredibly stupid... and I went ahead anyway. " is Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie snarked on by [personal profile] stolisomancer

11. "Are you hungry? I haven't eaten since later this afternoon." is Primer replayed by [personal profile] zerographic

12. "It's Christmas and the kid's gettin' his fuckin' present." is actually Badder Santa but close enough for Brendan

13. "Throw one at me if you want, hash head. I've got all five senses and I slept last night, that puts me six up on the lot of you." is Brick investigated by Brendan

14. "Back when I was picking beans in Guatemala, we used to make fresh coffee, right off the trees I mean. That was good. This is shit but, hey, I'm in a police station." is The Usual Suspects planned out by [profile] crimsonjoe

15. "If I don't get my money back by Monday, what I do to both your faces will definitely be cubist!" is The Good Thief stolen by Brendan

16. "There's a secret way to open it." is The Illusionist revealed by [personal profile] the_outlaw

17. "There's blood on my hands, and mud on my name. My id threw a party and everyone came. My innocence ravished, my virtue devoured, I can't count the strangers with whom I have showered!" is Reefer Madness: The Musical exposed by [profile] springrayn

18. "You see, in this world there's two kinds of people, my friend: Those with loaded guns and those who dig. You dig." is The Good, the Bad & the Ugly shot down by [profile] crimsonjoe

19. "Who cares what psychiatrists write on walls?" is 12 Monkeys infected by [personal profile] zerographic

20. "Hide the rum!" is Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest sent to the bottom by [personal profile] the_outlaw

It is indeed from 2. The first one would have been "What have you done with the rum?" or something similar...

Damnit! I can't believe I missed 19. Stupid me. And I've been ranting about how awesome The Departed is now that I've seen it all the way through (the power went out half-way through in the theater) yet I did not list it for #6.

Also, the Illusionist (#16) was FAR better than the Prestige. Just in case anyone thought otherwise.

You're right, the Illusionist is so much better than the Prestige. Ed Norton rocked that role!

Why I don't have LJ

Date: 2007-04-12 08:01 am (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
My life is actually incredibly dull. I get up, I go to school, I got to work. Rinse, wash, repeat. I don't watch much TV, I get most of my new movies from you, and you already read all the comics I do. What would be the point? The only thing that wouldn't essentially be a copy of this would be the incessant bitching about school and in-depth descriptions of painting minis. Plus, I don't really do the whole "write my random thoughts" thing. I've tried before and it doesn't jibe. I'm content to drop in and comment anonomously. It's not like you don't know who I am anyway.

Also, I'm going to be getting Wednesday nights off soon. You guys have an open seat? I'll understand if the answer's no.

Given Kelley's flakiness and that we haven't had a game in 2 weeks, I'm not sure what the games status is...

Some LJ users don't actually post in their journals. They simply have an identity for when they're posting in other people's journals.
