For the record I've just created a new IJ account for myself (same name) and I'll probably buy a Perm Account before the end of the month after I get my tax refund. Mostly because they're supposed to be real cheap until the end of March...

New Comics Day 3/19

Another heavy week. And since my State tax return came in early, I even grabbed a tpb, Fraction & Sanders' Five Fists of Sciencefrom Image...

Also from Image we've got a new Invincible, where the government decides to send in the crazy Darkwing and an army of cyborg zombies to rescue Earth's heroes from Dr. Seismic and his monster horde of monsters. And the post-battle leads to a confrontation between Mark and Cecil. I am a little dissapointed that no one else sides with Mark and helps him follow up with his government handlers. I'm looking at you Brit, Super-Patriot and Atom Eve...

Next is more FEAR Agent from Dark Horse. Someone from Heath's past is looking to make him pay for the Dressite genocide. Well someone ELSE that is. Also the survivor's from Mara's betrayal on Charlotte's team are trapped on a planet full of..um..soul-eating zombies? Yeah, something like that...

Then its IDW's Angel: After the Fall, where Lorne rallies the troops to help Angel in his fight against the Champion's of the Demonic Warlords in Lost Angeles. I picked up the group shot cover, and I still can't figure out who that is next to Gunn and below the dragon...

After that over to Vertigo for some 100 Bullets. Where I need a new score card. Who the hell are Jack, Loop and Cole working for again? Ok, I'm going to wiki to remind myself who's who. Right, Agent Graves, Mr. Sheppard (KIA by Dizzy), Lono the Dog, Milo "the Bastard" Garrett (KIA by Lono), Cole "the Wolf" Burns, Wylie "the Pointman" Times (KIA by Remi I think?), Victor "the Rain" Ray, Jack "the Monster" Daw (great fucking name), Remi "the Saint" Rome (whose brother Ronnie, Cole may or may not have killed over Wylie's death) and ex-Minuteman Will Slaughter. Then the two trainies Dizzy "the Girl" Cordova and Loop "Little Hughes" Hughes. I'm not even going to try and remember who in the Trust is still around...

Ok, over to the less convoluted Fables. And WOW is that an awesome cover of Cindy. Even by James Jean's normal high standards that is a nice one. Oh and Cindy shows off some bad-assedness of her own while recovering a package for Fabletown...

In Ex Machina the Mayor may or may not be visited by the ghost of a slave. Also he tries to Deputy Mayor Wylie to be his heir apparant when he runs for the Presidency...

And we finish up with The Programme. With the Russian Dolls leaving Vegas after a brief encounter with Max. And where Joe comes out swinging on behalf of the African-American "rebels"...
