Rags, Kali I blame you for my latest headache. I'm just following the links from your wonderful list. And yeah I manage to quickly back button before reading another bizarre crazy rant by the (IR)rational Mad Man-Child, but then I get to the Filmdrunk link. A couple of quick sentences on the suspended Wonder Woman film project. Nothing too out there from any of the other discussion on it going on. And then I make the mistake of reading the comments section...

OW.

OW ow OW ow ow ow OW!

The stupid it hurts! Why? What did I ever do to you? Is it becasue I keep demanding you make me pie? I'll settle for cookies. Or even muffins. Just stop hurting me like that...

Sadly my comics shop was undershipped on Jack of Fables. Which means I have to borrow my roommates copy later. But I want MY copy. Waaaah...

I also had to put a couple things back in my box until next week due to lack of funds. Additional waaaah...

But on the plus side we've got the finale for Annihilation: Conquest: Quasar. With barbarian hordes, a space dragon, the revelation of what the darkness in the Quantum Bands is, the return of a notable cosmic Marvel character and a space lesbian carving up Phalanx with a big ass sword. Much stronger finish then Wraith, but still with a few flaws. Like the revealed weakness of the Super-Adaptoid. Oh well. But you know with this issue's reveal they're only one character short of getting one of the goofier concept teams of the 90s back together...

Then we get a new Dynamo 5 where Scrap and Slingshot take on a new villain. And get some help from the leads of ANOTHER Faeber written super-hero book centered around family. No not that one. A new one...

After that I decided to pick up Biff-Bam-Pow! by Evan Dorkin & Sarah Dyer. A cool sci-fi/supers mash-up. Fairly funny and I'm looking forward to more...

Next we get a much sooner than expected new Savage Dragon, with Dragon continuing to look for his wife alongside Angel aka Battle Girl. The Angel from the original universe, not the one from the Savage Universe who ran off with Mr. Glum to Dimension X. Oh and the Dragon from the DARKWORLD Universe is trying to convince people HE'S the original. Really its not as confusing as it sounds...

And another new title with Kyle Baker's Special Forces about a platoon of people who fall WELL below the normal Army recruitment levels. Loosely inspired by an actual case where someone recruited an autistic kid. The book is surprisingly graphic in its violence for Baker. VERY dark humor...

And then we finish with the second issue of Mouse Guard Winter: 1152. Definitely less action this time around, but I think its giving them more space to flesh out the characters and the back story...

Oh yeah and I grabbed the paperback version of The Immortal Iron Fist trade. Looking forward to reading that...
