lurkerwithoutRags, Kali I blame you for my latest headache. I'm just following the links from your wonderful list. And yeah I manage to quickly back button before reading another bizarre crazy rant by the (IR)rational Mad Man-Child, but then I get to the Filmdrunk link. A couple of quick sentences on the suspended Wonder Woman film project. Nothing too out there from any of the other discussion on it going on. And then I make the mistake of reading the comments section...

Date: 2007-10-31 02:15 pm (UTC)I can totally see an executive halting production on movies with female leads, but it's not necessarily his sexism as it is the movie-going public's sexism. Movies with female leads consistently perform poorer at the box office. Some of this, obviously, has to do with the quality of scripts that go to female actors, but a lot more has to do with the roles we're willing to accept them in.
