So terrible. So very terrible. It has some kind of awful gravity to it that makes me keep switching back and watching more. Why? WHY DO I HURTS MYSELF? The bad combo 2-d and CG animation. The writing. Oh gods. Long lost secret brothers? Ludicrous pseudo-science even a Trek writer would reject. SO BAD!

I haven't seen it (nor do I have any interest), but wasn't "long lost secret brothers" also the concept behind the original?

From what I remember of the original show Speed's older brother faked his death and came back as Racer X. In this one they had Speed's kid named X and then a new kid also named Speed who turned out to ALSO be the original Speed's son...

Also its set at a school for teen racers run by Spritle. Who I still want to punch in the face. Stupid fucking Spritle...

The original became better for me when I found out that in the original Japanese Trixie was supposed to be Speed's girlfriend not his sister. Made it much less creepy. The important thing is that in three different incarnations I've wanted to punch Spritle in his stupid face...
