An '06 French thriller recently released in the U.S. Eight years earlier Dr. Alexandre Beck had been vacationing with his wife in the countryside. While at some family lakeside property one night, he was knocked unconscious and his wife murdered by a serial killer. And with a single e-mail on the anniversary of that he learns it was all a lie. Soon Alexandre is on the run from the police, while also being hunted by a group of vicious killers...
The plot is full of twists and reveals, but all seem buyable. Way overly complicated for some of the people involved, but believable. The main plot twists are also not very guessable as they involve characters barely even shown in the earlier parts of the movie. Still the movie has some good tension building scenes, excellent acting and even manages to drop in a few needed tension relieving moments of humor in the middle...
