A documentary where Penn Teller interviews over a hundred comics and entertainers. Having them talk about or tell one of the most tasteless improv jokes. Highlights are probably Gilbert Gottfried, Bog Saget and Billy the Mime...

I found this a fantastic film. It's the same joke but the improv elements allow every comedian to put their own spin on it. It's like hearing the same song performed by 50 very different, but talented, singers.

I was intrigued by the concept behind this movie for a *VERY* long time, but only saw it for the first time in the last few months. At first I was afraid that it would be nothing but umpteen different comics telling the same joke. And while you do see/hear the joke umpteen different ways, the movie is really about the Art, Style & Culture of comedy (for lack of a better phrase). Penn Gillette makes the claim that comedy (especially Improv) is like jazz: different artists can take the same theme and make it their own... and as filthy/disgusting as the titular joke is, it truly is a great way for an individual comic to show off his/her style.

A great documentary.

Who knew that Bob Saget, he of Full House and America's Funniest Home Videos, could work blue?

I'd from a few people, who had caught some of his pre-Full House work, that his old acts were pretty vulgar...
