New Comics Day

Sadly the Dr. 13 tpb I wanted was sold out. Happily this meant I didn't go over budget on comics. Of course I then had to buy a new belt so my budget is fried from that, but still. Not from comics...
First off, despite my store getting shorted AGAIN on their re-orders, I got last weeks Casanova. Which was pretty cool, since even the shop clerks had no idea how it ended up in my box. I mostly mention this to taunt
screwjeffowens who gets no Cassanova. Haha Jeff! All for me! I bet its because Fraction hates vegetarians. Eat a cow Veggie Boy! The comic itself is a tale of murder-for-hire and time traveling hotties...
Then we've got Annihilation: Conquest Quasar with Heather going through a power shift and then the girls race against the Super-Adaptoid to attempt and rescue the mysterious "Savior" from the Phalanx...
Next we go to The Programme where we meet some of the killer Soviet super-humans and the U.S. desperately attempts to activate their own sleeper super-beings...
After that we stop in on Ex Machina where Mayor Hundred gets an invite to go to Rome and meet John Paul II. But some mysterious evil Russians (I guess its Evil Russian week) have their own sinister plans to take advantage of the meeting..
From there its Army@Love where the squad (still minus Flabbergast) deals with some elephants, Healey has "fun" in Mongolia and, well, people have freaky sex...
Next some family fun as the Dynamo5 team deals with Chrysalis, the new Whiptail, the government a-holes running F.L.A.G. and their sort of evil sibling...
And we end with Gerard Way (of My Chemical Romance) and Gabriel Ba's The Umbrella Academy. How to describe this. Hmmm. The first issue has a group of super-powered kids fight an animated Eiffel Tower. Then things get weird and awesome...
