Winter's Bone

17-year old Ree Dolly has to take care of her 12-year old brother and 6-year old sister, as well as her near-catatonic mother in the rural Ozarks. Since her meth cooking father is hiding out. And then the sheriff comes to tell her that her father's court date is approaching and he has their home up to secure his bail bond. So to keep them all from being kicked out she'll have to track him down. Which means dealing with the rest of their criminal clan...

An excellent noir movie. Jennifer Lawrence is especially good in the lead role, dealing with her ever more desperate situation and her ever more dangerous white trash extended kinfolk...
