New Comics Day 8/18/10
Aug. 18th, 2010 09:53 pmAnd so Ex Machina draws to a close at 50 issues. And all I can say is FUCK THIS A DEPRESSING CYNICAL ENDING! Gah...
On a happier note Fables has Rose Red finally getting out of bed. Even if its after a final look back at her past as Most Self-Centered Person Ever...
Brian Clevenger of Atomic Robo and 8-bit Theater starts up his Avengers & the Infinity Gauntlet mini. A re-telling of the 90s story where Thanos became God. This time though it has U.S.1 in it. Which makes it 100000% better. Also I love that the Invisible Woman picks Spider-Man as the exploratory team's science person with Iron Man standing like five feet away...
Avengers Academy and Thunderbolts have a cross-over with a "Scared Straight" story. Both issues have some great character moments and Thunderbolts was just crammed with Hero Spots for a mess of characters...
The Weird World of Jack Staff drops some big long term story points. Plus Becky Burdock smashes a super-villain up with a sledge hammer. Do not fuck with the vampire reporter, she will wreck your shit...
And lastly I finally got around to adding BOOM!'s Darkwing Duck to my pull list. Because Ian Brill writes the hell out these characters and closes this 3rd issue with a picture perfect Big Bad Reveal...
