New Comics Day 5/26/10
May. 26th, 2010 05:00 pmScalped begins a new story arc focusing on the back story for Dash Bad Horse's father. 'Nam veteran and all-around bastard...
Over on Angel Willingham starts a new arc as well, which seems to be building some kind of new world-building mythology to the book. Which I can't say I'm really liking much. Plus he seems to be going for massive info-dumps over character building on the characters in the main story...
On Proof the Lodge is still under threat of a federal take-over while Proof and his friends go on the hunt for who killed the Dover Demon...
Howard (the Duck), Aaron (the Robot) and Jaculi (the Gunslinger) latest Marvel Zombies 5 mission has them end up on a Arthurian Marvel Earth taking on the local version of Deadites. Although I'm dissapointed not one person uses a line involving the word "boom-stick"...
And lastly I decided to start picking up the latest version of Thunderbolts. Its always been a book that I think about getting, considering the various talent that has worked on the Villains Trying to be Heroes series. Busiek, Nicieza, Ellis, Gage and so forth. And the thought of seeing how Jeff Parker manages a team-book that includes Juggernaut and Man-Thing is more than I can resist...
