The Namesake

There are at LEAST three different movies in this two hour film that I'd be interested in seeing. Nick/Gogol (Kal Pena) and his family's trip to India the summer after his high school graduation. His mother's adaption to an early marriage followed by moving from Calcutta to New York. Nick/Gogol dealing with the grief of his father's death and how it re-instills a desire to embrace his Indian heritage...

Unfortunately anytime one of those or any of the other sub-plots really begins to get moving it gets cut short. So you've got an ok movie that is a bit too long AND a bit too short...
