I don't normally pick something up just for the art. 'Cause thats how you end up like my roommate owning a copy of Oktane. But I'm a sucker for anything by brothers Moon or Ba and this was only 12 bucks...

Its a fun little piece, about gun-toting cigarette girls. Their city is divided into violently defended sales districts, but Scarlett keeps straying out of her Puff district into that of the Belles. Which eventually escalates into a war between the two crews...

An enjoyable romp with hot women and lots of frenetic gun play...

The Hurt Locker

Jeremy Renner plays Sgt William James an EOD newly arrived in Iraq. He quickly shows the rest of his squad that he's highly skilled but prone to risky moves in order to fuel his need for an adrenaline rush. Not always the best thing in a job where you're disabling explosive devices and dodging the odd sniper...

While Renner is excellent here, props should be given to Anthony Mackie as the suborinate Sgt. JT Sanborn. Really though, a lot of excellent work all around in this fairly low budget movie. Pity like four people watched it in the theater even if it has been making every critic's best of list and getting nominated for, well, everything...

My favorite sequence is probably the one with a cameo by Ralph Fiennes as the leader of a group of bounty hunting mercenaries...
