New Comics Day 7/22/09
Jul. 22nd, 2009 07:56 pmAnd lets start with the latest Wednesday Comics. It looks like Caldwell on Wonder Woman is going for some kind of Little Nemo type thing. Also Amanda Conner draw's a really adorable puppy in a cape...
And Jack is back in Jack of Fables where he takes credit for being Tarzan. And annoys a bunch of talking apes...
Groom Lake finishes up and the Earth survives. Mostly because aliens can't drive for shit...
Part of the new Guardians of the Galaxy (those kidnapped by Starhawk) meet the original Guardians of the Galaxy. In the Avengers Mansion. At the End of the Universe. Thanks to Dr. Doom. And then they team-up to fight Badoon. *sniff* Abnett/Lanning know me so well...
Nova has Richie, along with Centurions Irani and Morrow, streaking off to save his brother and Ravenous from Strontian (aka Psycho NotSupergirl), the Shi'ar Paetorian Elite and King Blastaar...
As always I like the writing on Avengers: The Initiative even while hating the story-lines its working with. Seriously even ignoring the whole put the Cop Killer in charge of super-heroes idiocy, I can't buy him as a competent plotter. Or smart enough to steal Tony Stark's armor designs. And now the Hood eats people? What the hell?
Phonogram: The Singles Club finishes up its Rashoman style story with a look at the night from the perspective of dj's Seth Bingo and Silent Girl...
And Kirkman draws the "Conquest" mini-arc of Invincible to a close as well. With what might actually be his most blood-spattery issue yet. And that is a pretty damn high bar...
