One of the Native American kids in the next Twillight movie is named Kiowa Gordon. His bio says he's Hualapai. Anyone more familiar with various tribal histories know if they are connected to the Kiowa?

New Comics Day 4/22/09
Apr. 22nd, 2009 05:45 pmHuzzah for comics! Especially for not buying Kick-Ass because Millar's books are stupid, stupid, stupid. Sorry, been annoyed with other people who bring up shitty Millar books as recomendations...
So to comics I enjoy. Starting with Avengers: The Initiative, which time-wise seems to be right as Osborn dissolves S.H.I.E.L.D. and replaces it with H.A.M.M.E.R. and takes over the Initiative program. Plus Vance and the New Warriors reveal the last of the secrets of Camp Hammond to the press. Seriosly, why is Sally "Grill Captain America about MySpace" Floyd the only reporter who ever asks questions? Osborn actually delivers a good speech as he takes over, which would be even better if it weren't being delivered by a cop-killer and meekly accepted by the press...
Guardians of the Galaxy has the wayward members returning to Knowwhere and Adam Warlock getting them involved in the Kree/Shi'ar War of Kings, aka Galactic Storm II. Seriously the Guardians are getting big and split into two teams AND leave all THREE telepaths at base. Me I say the team needs MORE members! Firelord! Star-Thief! Darkhawk! Some kind of Space Lizard and/or Monkey!
Wolverine: First Class under Peter David is..ok. Nothing terrible, but even with Wolverine, Kitty, Daredevil and Elektra vs. the Hand and then a demon it just doesn't have the spark from before. I'll give it another issue or two to see if it picks up. Besides, next issue has old school Thor. I say thee YAY...
Invincible has the aftermath of the Invinci-doppleganger invasion. And then one of Mark's Viltrumite cousins shows up to be a dick...
Savage Dragon beats on some Viscious Circle goons, gets blown up and ends up in the hospital again all bandaged up. Then things get kind of weird...
In Dynamo5 Visionary and Firebird Jr go on a date. They're very cute together. Scrap also goes on a blind internet date that goes surprisingly well. Except for the part where she finds out his job...
Ex Machina is back and Hizzoner reveals his final year plan for NYC. Though he's holding back from revealing his Presidential plans. Oh and one of his old foes may be back spreading death in the city...
Jack of Fables continues the Great Fables Crossover as Snow and Bigby meet the refugees from Revise's destroyed prison...
And finally we've got a new Angel. Where our hero meets up with an actual angel. Plus we see were-leopard girl's back-story as Gwen tries to find a way to win back Connor. A hint Gwen, capturing and torturing people, even naught kitty ladies, probably isn't the way to the boy's heart...
