Bad news: [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]'s Republic of Thieves has been pulled from pre-order status by Amazon and others. Meaning its now like GRRM's Dancing with Dragons at the "will be published at some point" stage. Annoying. Though checking Lynch's home page I see that he's actually planning a SEVEN book "Gentleman Bastards" series. Hrmmm...

*sigh*

A very fast-paced movie once the action starts. Runs a quick hour and a half. You have Liam Neeson as a former "government employee" who describes his old job as a "preventer". His daughter goes off to spend the summer in Europe with a friend. They get kidnapped out of Paris and Neeson travels to France to get rescue her. And then he wrecks shit until he gets her back. I mean its like the gang grabbed the Punisher or Jason Bourne's kid. He just goes thru the bad guys like a buzzsaw. An excellent action flick really...
