Charlie Wilson's War

Beyond a fairly interesting story about the U.S.' funding of the Afghan resistance to the Soviet Invasion the movie doesn't have a lot going for it storywise. Acting on the other hand its simply stellar. Starting with one of the best performances I've seen from Tom Hanks that I can remember for awhile. Plus the always stellar Phillip Seymour Hoffman. Hell, I didn't even recognize Julia Roberts she submerges that well into her role...
