Just went and checked Midtown Comics to see what my pull list looks like for this week. Not counting the issue of Firebreather I missed last week, or that Empowered vol4 I'm still waiting on, I've got FOURTEEN titles hitting this week. FOURTEEN. There's a gods be damned Body Bags One Shot! Motherfucking Body Bags! Plus issue four of Mouse Guard Winter 1152 FINALLY comes out. AND the new Umberella Academy: Dallas mini-series. After tax its like fifty dollars in books. No fucking way I can get everything this week. Seriously why do you hate me so comics? Don't I love you? Why you gotta be like this baby?

And so we bring our look at Brian Wood's work to a close with Local. Specifically the giant-ass hard-cover collection. This is a mouse killing book. Thick and heavy and thirty dollars. But it collects all 12 issues of the mini-series. The series loosely follows Megan McKeenan as she journeys across the country and back again. Each issue was a distinct little story that somehow worked together to make a greater whole. Over 300 pages of story, along with the original covers, and author and artist notes. Really its a bargain for a book that could probably double as body armor...
