I'm not at the point where I'll be trying to move my lengthy archive over to some other site. But this post on LJ's great fuck-ups by [personal profile] stewardess serves as a good reminder that it will probably happen someday...

Right now the hassle of moving and losing communities like S_D is greater than the hassle of LJ/6Apart/SUP's being gorram fools. For now...

Though one thing she only lightly touches on is how idiotic LJ's volunteer rules violation group is. As Alex would back up on his journal. If they hadn't permabanned it because he was being stalked by a crazy person who thought he was a REAL vampire...

Pulled from a review of the most recent Black Canary/Green Arrow:

Dinah: "You are going to have to push back that ocean of rage - that monsoon of emotion that kicks around in your body like a rabid bear on steroids."

Seriously Judd? Do I need to track you down and force you to re-read your own Barry Ween books, just to remind you what clever dialogue looked like?

I should not take such glee that my Technorati Authority is slightly higher than two bloggers I dislike. A lot. And yet I am filled with happiness about it. Take that oh passive agressive one and crazy boy!

The suspense is terrible...I hope it'll last

Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane, vol. 1 written by Sean McKeever, art by Takeshi Miyazawa, inks by Norman Lee (#1-4), colors by Christina Strain, letters by Randy Gentile & Dave Sharpe

You know WHY the current Teen Titans is such a vast disappointment? Because McKeever damn well can do better. You want teens that seems like REAL people? Even when dealing with super-heroics? An antidote for the pure doom & gloom of regular 616 Marvel? Yeah, this is where to go. Collecting Mary Jane #1-4, Mary Jane: Homecoming #1-4 and Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane #1-5...

Mary Jane is a fairly typical teen. She's trying to sort her feelings for friend turned boyfriend Harry Osborn, dealing with best friend Liz Allan's drama and Liz's boyfriend issues with football star Flash Thompson. Oh and trying to figure out her feelings for Spider-Man. Is it just a crush? A stalkery obsession? Or something deeper. The whole thing is just adorable. Really, really heart breakingly adorable. Even when things go into total high school melt down; still adorable. And much credit should be given to artist Takeshi Miyazawa. But McKeever writes characters that pop. That you invest in. Root for, hope for, sometimes want to smack upside the head to drive out the stupid. But that you'll care about...

Or you can go by my original reaction was twenty minutes of "SQUEE! OMG! SO CUTE! HUG! HUUUUUUUGS!!"
