Arkham Asylum: Living Hell by Dan Slott, pencils by Ryan Sook, inks by Lee Loughridge, colors by Von Grawbadger, Sook and Royal

Warren White aka the Great White Shark arranges for a change of venue for his stock fraud trial. And even manages to get off by claiming "not guilty by reason of mental defect". So Warren thinks he's a pretty clever guy. Of course a vindictive judge decides to sentence Mr. White to an indefinite period of observation at Arkham. Not that White understands right away WHY this is a bad, bad thing for him...

White: Arkham? Whats "Arkham"?

Being the new fish he quickly learns he made a serious mistake. He manages to survive by finding someone to serve as a protector. First Two-Face and then Humpty Dumpty. Of course stuff things keep sliding downward for him. Body skinning crazies. Vengeful Ghosts. Ancient demons crafted directly into the walls that get released. All that leads to a terrible transformation for Warren White...

Dan Slott seems to be about 50/50 for me. Of course when his story connects with me, it works big. And then this is a great book. Show-cases both the horror of Arkham's inmates as well as its dark supernatural history...
