Lets start this off with the new Knights of the Dinner Table. The coupon fighting is growing out of control in Muncie as Sara decides to teach Sheila a lesson. Plus the normal assortment of reviews, editorials and comics...

Then its over to Criminal where Tracy gets in with his brother's old crew. And they take the first step on their big score. Springing their planner from lock-up...

After that we pick up with Invincible, where the Immortal is attempting to deal with the loss of his new wife, Allen the Alien drops in for a visit and Mark considers dropping out of school...

And we end up at Jack of Fables where Jack, Gary/P.F. and Wicked John are all caught by Priscilla and the agents of Revise. Plus some stuff is being plotted at the Golden Boughs Retirement Village. Plus some cameos by the mysterious "Kevin" from Fables. Who is he and why does he think he hears his name whenever P.F. tries to take it for his own? Oh yeah, and Jack gets a present. Yay for Jack!

Plus of course the third Annihilation HC trade came out. Drax vs. Thanos, falls count anywhere! Galactus gets ticked off! Nova vs. Annihilus! Ronan and the Super-Skrull vs. the corrupted legions of Kree! The only downside to the collection is that it feels like there are still some tie-in issues not collected here. Like how Rich and the Resistance hook up with Blastaar and the Galadorian Space-Knights. But it does toss in the two Heralds of Galactus one-shots as a bonus...

Game ended early this week as our GM has started a new job and some schedule shuffling may be going on. Or the game could collapse under the weight of half of us not caring about the fucking First Age. Right Finglefam the son of Fingleberry the son of Fingofangofoo. Don't. Care...

Anyway we finished up "Chapter" one this week. Delivered my characters cousin Eggy to King Baron or whoever. Who gave this big "We will give no ground" kind of speech to the remains of House Beor. Now my character, he eats that kind of stuff up. Me I look at the fact that he wants to fight against massively overwhelming odds, on blasted ground, with no hope of resupply or reinforcements and thinks: Are you fucking kidding? So we will probably split the group in-between chapters. The two Elves and the Dwarf will take the refugee types to the next "safe" area. Along with the enemy log book of troop movements. And the two humans, who are both more Die in a Grandiose Stupid Manner types will stay with King Baron. Theres apparantly a second point to leave the House of Beor forces, and our GM figures the King would probably order us to leave with his wife and the other women who had been fighting at that point. So Chapter Two should take place several years later, explaining the character advancements we gained...

But as has been mentioned, several players are even LESS into the First Age background than I am. Plus lots of scheduling changes coming up. So after a break for the 4th holiday, we'll have to see what the player pool looks like...

If nothing else I can probably convert my doomed Prince to an NPC to use in other Fantasy games...
