New Comics Day

And its that time of the week again. New Comics Time! First off we have the latest issue of Elephantmen, where Hip Flask attempts to go shopping. And in the back-up a stealthed out killer takes down a federal witness. This book is still on the bubble with me. The main parts seem to short, the back-ups are either marginal or just expitory background. And the salute to old pulp adventures is nice enough, I'd rather have more actual story rather than the writer wanking about his obscure fandom for four pages...

Next, on a much happier note, we have the return of Criminal after a hiatus of several months. A new story arc centered around Tracy Lawless, fresh out of the army and looking for his younger brother's killer. So. Freaking. Sweet...

Then its the Kirbytastic awesomeness of G0dland with Archer going fist to fist with Crashman. Plus the usual hijinks with the Triad, the Tormentor and Basil Discordia...

Then another issue of kevin_church's Cover Girl where the action picks up as the mysterious group begins to take steps to remove Alex Martin...

And we finish with Dynamo5 with the super-powered siblings working to subdue an former ally of their father...

And I just realized I forgot to look for the X-Men: First Class book I wanted. Hopefully they'll still have some on Saturday when I go back for my comic's shop 5th Anniversary sale....
