April Book List
May. 1st, 2007 02:14 pmApril 1st: Tamora Pierce - Emperor Mage. 3rd book in Pierce's "The Immortals" series. With the main characters dealing with a selfish ruler and the more divine plotting.
April 2nd: Pierce - The Realms of the Gods. Final book in "The Immortals" with a final showdown against the forces of Chaos.
April 5th: Harry Turtledove - The Grapple. Latest book in Turtledove's American Front WW2 alt history. With the tide turning on the "Nazi" Confederate side.
April 6th: John Shirley - Hellblazer: Constantine - Subterranean. Actually the second of Shirley's John Constantine novels. With a very mythos-ey underground society.
April 7th: John Butcher - White Night. Latest Harry Dresden novel. This one centered mostly around the White Court of vampires. Also quick question for anyone who actually watches the show. Any sign of Mouse or Thomas on it?
April 8th: John M. Ford - How Much For Just the Planet?. One of two Star Trek books I own (both by Ford). This one is a musical comedy. No seriously.
April 9th: Tanya Huff - Smoke & Shadows. First book in Huff's spin-off from "The Blood Books". Mostly centered around ex-street hustler, Tony.
April 10th: Leonard Elmore - The Hot Kid. A follow up to Cuba Libre, this one set during the prohibition gangster era.
April 11th: Rob Thurman - Moonshine. Sequel to Nightlife, with the gang working as supernatural bodyguard/investigator/problem solvers.
April 12th: Tanya Huff - Smoke & Mirrors. Second book in Huff's new series. Tony has to fight a haunted house with his fledgeling wizard skills.
April 15th: Various writers - Mid-Life Confidential - the Rock Bottom Remainders Tour America With Three Chords and an Attitude. A tour book about a band made up of writers.
April 17th: Sherwood Smith - Inda. Another noble warrior school book. I've been reading a lot of these of late somehow.
sartorias ends things very much leaving you wanting more.
April 20th: Kurt Vonnegut - Slaughterhouse-Five. If you've never read any Vonnegut you are seriously missing out. And S-5 is definately the book to start with.
April 22nd: Jasper Fforde - The Fourth Bear. 2nd book in the "Nursery Crime" spin-off from Fforde's "Thursday Next" series. Brit humor at its best.
April 29th: Susan Cooper - The Dark is Rising. Omnibus collection of Cooper's Celtic/Arthurian juvenile series. Cooper is probably one of the foundation pillars of my fantasy fandom.
Total books: 15
