I have been known, on occassion, to meander around while telling a story. Wandering off onto various tangents. And I tease [profile] creativedv8tion about his rambling voice posts. And [personal profile] the_paco often skips merrily along Non Sequiter way in the Town of WTF. And of course [personal profile] demiurgent has been known to take the long way round when writing for Websnark...

But there is one True King of The Rambling Story. And his name is Mick Foley...

First off, and this may just be the sleep deprivation talking, but Marvel's CW/Initiative/Dead Cap tie-in book The Confession. Actually pretty good. Tony tries to explain his actions so he's not, you know, evil. I don't know if he'll convince anyone, but its nice to see someone TRYING to make the arguement. The second half (which takes place before the first half) has Cap giving Tony the rebuttal he SHOULD have given Sally "I'm the world's WORST reporter" Ford. Given his current stuff, I was surprised by the level of A-game Bendis brought to the book...

Also from Marvel I decided to start grabbing the Annihilation books on title by title basis. First up was grabbing Heralds of Galactus from a few issues back. This one has two stories, the first focusing on Terrax, as well as Power Skrull and some guy called Deliquent that I vaguely recall from something. The shorter second half follows the Herald Stardust who has a conversation with the remaining members of his race...

Also the 1st Annihilation hardcover trade. Only two words to sum up the start of this series. Hella. Awesome.

Then we've got the premier of Dark Horse's Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Eight. If you liked the Whedon Buffy/Angel shows, then you'll love this book. If you hated them (waves to Noah) you'll probably dislike them...

Next is Boom Studios next What Were They Thinking?!. This one on Westerns. Not as good as the monster one I think. Fairly funny, just not as funny...

Then its the new Knights of the Dinner Table. The coupon feud seems to wrap up and then Brian actually does something nice for someone. Plus Noah's rant on Ladyhawke...

Fables finishes Bigby and Snow's visit to the North Wind's home. Although given the amount of evil shit Bigby has been hinted at pulling, I think he's a little harsh on his pops...

And last up we've got the finale to The Damned. Eddie manages to get everthing, mostly where he wants it. Mostly...
