My friend Jeff aka [profile] dead_kid_fred has a journal/gag-a-day style webcomic. Its one that I think definately shows some potential. Of course he has at least one major road-block on his trip to internet stardom. His site design. Which is, how to put it politely, utter crap. So if anyone wants to give him some tips on setting up a webcomic, he'd probably appreciate it. I know I would enjoy it more if I didn't feel emberassed every time I went there...;P

So Terry has something to click on )

Looking over this I notice that I tended to avoid putting many details in my adventure notes up until I would be more certain of when or if I'd ever use the adventure. Things like hit points, AC, spell loads and so on. I also wonder where I have the witch's spell book written down, as thats a detail I always worked out for wizard types...

Just finished watching the webcast of last night's episode. Sadly the Danny/Jordan/pregnancy part still doesn't click. But the flashback stuff actually showed SOME chemistry between Matt and Harriet, which is more than we've got the rest of the season. And I also liked the Matt pill popping thing. Good to see Sorkin toss in my autobio stuff that isn't axe grinding. But it definately could have used at least one more thing. That being Judd Hirsch. Since the flashback's are set in '99 and Wes gets mentioned like 3 or 4 times, maybe actually HAVING HIM in the episode might have made some sense...

The Kansas Board of Education on Tuesday threw out science standards deemed hostile to evolution, undoing the work of Christian conservatives in the ongoing battle over what to teach U.S. public school students about the origins of life.

The counter-arguements made by the creationist movement in the article make my head hurt. They always do. Creationism is faith and has no basis being upheld as an alternative to science. And I say that as a believer in a created universe. As someone who believes deeply and truly that I am watched and guided by a higher power. But thats FAITH. My faith and beliefs (or anyones in a non-verifiable higher power(s)) have NO place in any science class room. Thinking otherwise is wrong. It is foolish. And it is just plain stupid...
