So I found out a friend of mine just broke up with his girlfriend. Because she was cheating on him. And he found out because she forgot to privacy lock an entry on her myspace account. I feel bad for him, yet also find it amusing. Because this is the kind of shit that happens to him, all the time. Hell, this is well below the normal levels of crazy his love life can reach...

When a girl loves a monkey

Just back from seeing Kong with a friend. The movie was good. Good acting, well written story, good f/x monsters. Bad physics, but once you treat it as a pulp hero genre film its easy to ignore that...

Still there were LOTS of scenes that could easily have been cut to speed the movie up. I mean it still managed to flow fine basically, but it was still over 3 hours. It could easily have had an hour's worth of "this will look SOOOO cool" cut from it. And the scenes DO look cool. But they weren't totally nescesary to tell the story...
