Game on

Well I decided to start up another Playbypost game. And the general desire was for Vampire: the Masquerade. So I culled my DvD collection again and hit Bookman's. Got the main rulebook again (I'm pretty sure its a 1st Edition printing), what looks to be a 3rd Ed. Camiralla guide and a 2nd Ed. Tremere clanbook. For everything else I'll just have to rely on memory and my LARP rulebooks...

And since I'm fairly certain I've long since tossed all my Phoenix By Night notes I'll be spending the next week working out the major Vamp NPCs for Phoenix, and to Tucson and Flagstaff also to a lesser extent...

Total number of books owned: Um. Lots. I mean even if you subtract stuff like game books and comic collections and what not, its still hundreds of books.

The last book I bought: I just hit Bookman's. Got some V:tM game books and Asimov's Aliens (an anthology) to burn off the last of my trade credit.

The last book I read: Currently finishing up a Dark Fantasy book called Bitten about a female werewolf.


Five books that mean a lot to me:
1. Pratchett's Small Gods. This book helped me finalize a lot of my personal beliefs on religion and faith.
2. Mick Foley's Have a Nice Day. Not only did Foley's writing skills catch me totally off-guard, but I loved hearing about Mick's struggles and triumphs as a pro-wrestler.
3. The Science of Discworld. A book about basic science that I could follow. Well written, smart and eye opening.
4. The Hobbit. One of the first "real" novels I can remember reading. And part of the foundation that made me the nerd I am today.
5. A Wizard of Earthsea. I've still got my original copy of this. That I must have got around the age of 8 or 9. Its falling apart, but I wouldn't trade it in for anything.
