Dish vs. Cable
Aug. 22nd, 2004 12:05 amSo my grandparents don't have cable. Instead they have the dish network. Main downside, dial up internet instead of the far superior cable modem I've got at home.
Upside: They get IFC which COX dropped from their standard networks a couple years back. Plus something called SIRIUS, which are music (not video, just music) channels...COX has something similar but not as many options...
Say COX has a dozen or so Pure Music channels, while the Dish has 20 or 30...
For example right now I'm flipping between Garage Underground (all Garage Rock from the last 30 years) and Left of Center (college, indie and unsigned bands)...Pretty cool...
