Other than the dinosaurs, this is pretty much a stereotypical action/adventure type movie.  Pratt is generally likeable as the Rebel Who Knows the True Way.  Byrce Dallas Howard does what she can with the Alpha Business Woman Who Must Learn to Love/Relax/Be a Mom.  And the kdis fufill their role as generally useless Foolishly in Danger plot objects.  Plus you've got D'Onfrio and BD Wong serving up the back-story tidbits that will probably serve as the base for the next movie in the franchise (I'm thinking it will be called Jurassic War)...

But the dinos are all very cool as always.  The mosasaurus and the raptor pack and the t-rex and the Thiswasastupididea-Saurus Rex.  I always wonder with these movies, which of the dinos are actually from the Jurassic era...

I loved it.

It was just what I expected it to be, a fun summer monster movie. Claire was great, she didn't need rescuing, she coped and she did it all in high heels.

Pratt showed far mores sense than most monster movie heroes get AND he wasn't stupid about it.

The kids... they were kids.

And for once, the black guy didn't die.
