lurkerwithoutThe movie did hit the heights of awesome generally equal to the buzz about it. Lots of hero spot moments, witty banter and cute moments. And I think Ruffalo is now my favorite Banner of the three recent actors in the role. The Chitari aliens are pretty damn generic, but they're just there to be Avengered on and all the personality they lack Loki has to spare...
Being a Whedon flick of course it does have a motivational death. And the end credit reveal, while making me go HOLY CRAP will leave Marvel comics reading people, like say my mom, forced to ask the nearest comic's nerd "Who was that?"

Date: 2012-05-11 09:25 am (UTC)I totally agree with you about Ruffalo! Also, it took a lot of self control not to shout "WHHHEEEDDDOOONNN!"after the 'motivational death' scene.

Date: 2012-05-14 10:06 pm (UTC)I loved the great funny moments they minced in here and there, though I can't for the life of me figure out why they did Black Widow instead of some of the better heroines, but not my movie, I guess.
I can't wait for the next one, what a great villain choice!
I did want Schwarma after the movie, lol!
