Every year Thanksgiving throws the schedule for the NEXT week's comics and every year I wonder why. Stupid lazy delivery drivers...
We start with a new Knights of the Dinner Table with the story still Nitro's D-Day LARP where there is no escape. Plus Sara is on a landing "boat" full of smokers. As for the rest of the magazine, the Good/Bad/Ugly has some NPCs and story-hooks that I could use. Though the movie guy gives another half-assed non-review, this time for Ghostbusters. How can you do an article on gaming and Ghostbusters and have like one fucking line that mentions the old WEG game for it?
On a happier note is the arrival of Adam Warren's Empowered one-shot story, "The Wench with a Million Sighs". Lots of lovely and awesome alliteration from the Demon-Wolf. Plus Emp goes all bad-ass on baddie who trashes the rest of her team...
Cinderella: From Fabletown With Love has the titular hero continuing her mission to find the source of the rogue magic items. And she picks up an ally in Arabian Fable Ala Al-Din. And while she's away being an international woman of mystery, her shop assistant decides to use his connections with the shoe elves to get some new product regardless of the cost. Those really aren't terms you should use when making deals with Fae...
Scalped has everything and everyone coming ever closer together. Red Crow, Nitz, Falls Down, the Hmong, the FBI, everybody...
Jack's still a greed dragon in Jack of Fables, but Jack Frost picks up the slack and then some as a wandering do-gooder in the Homelands. Plus: The excitement of long-term treaty negotiation!
Invincible presents: Atom Eve & Rex Splode continues forward with the bridging story between Atom Eve's origin mini-story and the regular book. This time out Rex reaches a decision about his boss and "father". And someone dies in a way that would be pretty gruesome even by the gore-drenched nature of the main book...
Savage Dragon is full of Dragons. Amnesiac Dragon, Dark Dragon, Blood-infusion minor-villain Dragon, Son of Dragon. Lots of Dragons...
And finally Nova. Where Rich and Darkhawk are saved from the planetary destruction by long-time Nova foe and super-heavyweight class bad guy The Sphinx. He's got plans for the Nova Prime, as well as a few other familiar faces...
