I always disliked the message of that movie, too. The cool kids aren't really changed, its the outcasts that are brought into the cool kids world by changing them. Especially Ally Sheedy. She gets a makeover that always made her less attractive to me. Give me the pale girl eating capn crunch in her sandwich. That's the one I want, not the overly-made up bimbo.
