Haven't got to this week's Wednesday Comics but I'll make some predictions. The awesome strips will continue to be awesome, the ok ones will be pretty good or at least well drawn, I'll be the only person who likes the "Wonder Woman" one and the two bad strips will keep on being bad. Ok, sure its POSSIBLE the Superman one will have him punching a giant robot in half or grappling with some alien-godling. But I think more origin recap or whining to his mom/wife/Batman is the surer bet...
Fables starts a new arc focusing on 1)the spell-slingers formally of the 13th floor and 2)Buffkin the flying monkey and the few others trapped in the lost Fabletown Offices with all the newly freed mystic baddies. Like Baba Yaga or the Genie...
DMZ finishes up the "No Future" arc about Tony the ex-cop turned..I'm still not sure. Or who his backers are. Not Wood's best arc I think, but hopefully next issue the book will be back to Marty or one of the other characters...
Also finishing up its first arc is The Unwritten with the commission of a mass murder and Tommy finding his father's map...
And the Lockjaw and the Pet Avengers mini-series draws to a close with a brawl with Thanos. That'll teach him to underestimate an assortment of dogs, cats, birds, space dragons and Thunder frogs...
Over on Agents of ATLAS Jimmy's reunion with his lost love goes..badly. Hopefully this storyline will get to finish now that the books been cancelled. Stupid super-hero comics nerds. This is why we can't have nice things...
Out in Marvel space War of Kings comes to a close with a battle to the death between Black Bolt and Vulcan. And though the war is over it looks like the effects will linger...
A new Knights of the Dinner Table with three sets of strips. One dealing with the fallout at Hard8 from the "improved" HackMaster edition. The Knights continue to adventure in bag world. And Pete, Brian, Stevil, Sheila and Tank play a car combat game to determine who will represent the community at an upcoming tourney. As for the articles, I'll be honest, I'm barely even skimming most of them lately. I hate the movie reviewer, while I like TonyD his comic's snippets don't really do anything for me (a bit hypocritical of me) and the book reviewer has yet to cover anything that I'm not already well familiar with or have any interest in...
On a happier note, the new ps238. Where Emerald Gauntlet Jr, Guardian Angel and Patriot Act get shot into space after an accident with the town's new Shoot It Into Space 9000 device. Luckily Zodon and VonFogg are available to..rescue..them. Huh. Yeah that doesn't sound right does it...
Well, I guess the good news from Marvel deciding to replace Mini-Marvels with that Superhero Squad thingy is that Chris Giarrusso gets to put out more G-Man. Like this first issue of the "G-Man Cape Crisis". Which also has some cute back-ups. Like "Patrick the Wolf Boy" by Art Baltazar of Tiny Titans...
