lurkerwithoutStill managing to budget for my full pull list. But for how long?
Anyway this week we start with Beta Ray Bill Godhunter. It s got Kieron Gillen writing which is good, but I'm not so hot on penciler/inker Kano or inker Alvaro Lopez. Still its Beta Ray Bill aka Space Thor deciding to put on end to the menace of Galactus. Sure theres no way the Big G will go down in an unconnected mini-series, but Beta Ray's plan is fairly clever. Plus the first issue already has some cosmic hammer smashery going down...
Lockjaw and the Pet Avengers recruit a new member, the sabre-toothed tiger Zabu. Which is good, because the next Infinity Gem is in the past guarded by a young Devil Dinosaur...
Savage Dragon fills in the back-story on Dart 2 and reveals why she's all evil now. (Hint: Its because she's a crazy-pants). Also Dragon's unit gets another police captain. Hopefully this one will survive more than one issue...
Proof continues its past tale of Proof and Mi-Chen-Po's carnival days and Spring-Heel Jack...
Billy Batson & the Magic of Shazam! has a new creative team. I'll miss Mike Kunkel, but it's likely a fair trade off if it means the book manages to come out more than quarterly. This start up issue has the debut of robot Captain Marvel foe, Mr. Atom...
DMZ starts a 3 issue arc with a flash-back to Matty's initial helicopter ride to the DMZ. And we meet the group that shot down his ride and stranded him...
In The Unwritten Tom Taylor continues to investigate both his own mysterious past and tries to get a line on the woman who saved and wrecked his life at the same time...
Jack continues to sow chaos in his wake in Fables, even more so with the arrival of his son by the Snow Queen, Jack Frost...
