The third and final part of director Park Chan-wook's "Revenge" trilogy. I haven't seen the second one, since I've been told its terrible. And the first is Oldboy. Geum-ja is the "heroine" in this one. At the age of 19 she confesses to the kidnapping and murder of a 5-year old boy. While involved with the kidnapping, she hadn't killed the boy but took the full blame. Thirteen years later she's released from prison and uses a circle of her former cellmates to help her get her revenge...
The movie lacks any of the true utterly fucked up moments of Oldboy. Or the frantic violence that is all thru that movie. There is a sequence late in the film where a group of people take turns cutting a man to pieces. Its a good-enough movie, but doesn't truly stand out like Oldboy or Fudoh: the New Generation...
