And new comics finally arrive. Well except that Winter Men book which my comics shop short ordered. Oh well. And both my Marvel books are part of cross-overs. Hopefully the space one, War of Kings, will equal the two Annihilation story-arcs...
And thats where Guardians of the Galaxy opens up. With the last team fallen apart, Starlord finds himself banished to the Negative Zone by the Ronan the Accuser, where he is captured by King Blastaar. Rocket Raccoon's new GoG group are up against the Badoon as they prepare to reenter the Galactic arena. And Adam Warlock and Gamora schedule a meeting with the head of the Church of Universal Truth...
Avengers: The Initiative is technically a Dark Reign cross-over, but mostly its fall-out from the Skrull Invasion. I especially like the use of Alicia Masters as a counselor for dealing with being replaced by a Skrull. And the secret identity of Mutant Zero gets revealed...
Proof wraps up both the Thunderbird story-line and the search for Joe the Golem. Also an Ink Monkey would be a really useful pet...
In Jack of Fables the war between Revise and Bookburner continues. And all three Page sisters are reunited. Will "General" Jack actually be able to fast talk his way out of that one?
Blue Beetle finishes up it border crossing story and sadly moves closer to the end. Though we do get Paco and Brenda making a decision about their relationship. So sweet...
And we finish with Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips Incognito. Which is a bit of Criminal and a bit of Sleeper and a bit pulp-action stories in a modern setting...
