That makes sense, so it will never fly at Marvel. The arc's scenario that you have dreamed up is, for lack of a better word, good. I would read it. Someone needs to tell Bendis that he can't do anything beyond street level. Stick him on Wolverine or the Punisher and you will have a good book. He should have never been given the Avengers, although I did like the Secret Defenders...er I mean, New Avengers line up sans Wolverine (Logan needs to go back to the X-books, and stay there) and Echo(a character I never liked, and I think a lot of people agree). Somehow a team made up of friends who would be hanging out anyway if they were not saving the world makes sense to me. Hand the book over Keith Giffen, add Ben Grimm & Johnny Storm to the mix, and you have the potential for "Bwa-haha Justice League" style fun.
