Neopolis is a city where every resident is a costumed hero or villain. Or a space monster or wandering deity. Everyone. Bus drivers, cabbies, house wives, gang members and cops. And the latter are the focus of the series. Making it Hill Street Blues. With capes. A brilliant concept. And just like the best cop shows, the characters are rich and flawed and heroic and petty and grand all at once...
The focus starts on rookie cop Robyn "Toybox" Slinger, a second generation cape/cop. She gets partnered with the acerbic Smax, an 8' plus blue giant. Which sets much of the tone for her first day...
Top 10 is some of Moore's best work. And he again shows an uncanny ability to pick the perfect accompanying artist in Gene Ha. Ha fills each page with tiny visual references to comics, television and movies. Little details that add to the tapestry of Neopollis and always fit in perfectly...
