While the action scenes (especially the opening car chase & compound assault) were good, none of them really had the over-the-top wow of the church brawl in the original.  Though the climatic battle between the heroes and the traitor agent was very well shot.  And the Elton John cameo worked well even if it was mostly to set up using "Saturday Night's Alright" as background for an action piece.  And speaking of musical bits, very emotional moving use of John Denver's "Country Roads, Take Me Home".  For the second time in a recent movie with Channing Tatum.
