Weekly Pull 4/27/16
May. 1st, 2016 03:59 pmCriminal 10th Anniversary Special: By Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips & Colors by Elizabeth Breitweiser. This actually came out the week before, but I'd thought it was a reprint not a new story.
Velvet #14: Writer Ed Brubaker, Artist Steve Epting, Colors Elizabeth Breitweiser & Letters Chris Eliopoulos. Velvet blackmails Vice-President Ford so that she can interogate President Nixon.
Saga #36: Art by Fiona Staples, Written by Brian K. Vaughan & Letters + Design by Fonografiks. Fear the rage of Ghus! And me not knowing how to add his umlaut!
Secret Six #13: Written by Gail Simone, drawn by Tom Derenick, colored by Jason Wright & lettered by Travis Lanham. Strix' Gnome-friend! Noooooooo!
Conan the Avenger #25: Script Fred Van Lente, Art Brian Ching, Colors Michael Atiyeh & Letters Richard Starkings & Comicraft. Was Thaug the demon-god in Conan the Destroyer? His silhouette appearance here looks like it.
The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl #7: Writer Ryan North, artist Erica Henderson, color artists Rico Renzi with Erica Henderson & letter & production Travis Lanham. This CYOA concept probably would have worked better in a book where the flow isn't disrupted by all the ads. And speaking of ads, looks like SHOCKINGLY Steve Rogers Cap will be back in May, just as he has a new movie coming out. SHOCKING!
