Weekly Pull 4/13/16
Apr. 17th, 2016 06:49 pmAdventure Time #51: Written by Christopher Hastings, Illustrated by Ian McGinty, Colors by Maarta Laiho & Letters by Steve Wands
Gotham Academy #17: Writers: Brendan Flethcher, Michael Dialynas, David Petersen; Artists: Adam Archer, Sandra Hope, Steve Wands, Annie Wu, Serge LaPointeMichael Dialynas & David Petersen. I'm actually stopping on both these books. For Gotham Academy its the near complete change-over from the starting creative team, not even counting these "Yearbook" anthology issues. Though I will probably grab the Gotham Academy/Lumberjanes book when it comes out. As for Adventure Time, fifty plus single issues, numerous one-shots, graphic novels and mini-series just feels like a good place to step away.
The Autumnlands #10: Writer Kurt Busiek, Artist Benjamin Dewey, Color Art Jordie Bellaire & Lettering & Design John Roshell & Jimmy Beancourt of comicraft. Learoyd & Dusty continue up the mountain, searching for the source of the radiation poisoning. Also they meet and help a goat.
Shutter #20: Writer Joe Keatinge, Artist Leila Del Duca, Colorist Owen Gieni & Letterer John Workman. Kate has to decide whether to recruit her sister Maieli aka the Normal One into her mission.
Monstress #5: Writer Marjorie Liu, Artist Sana Takeda & Lettering & Design Rus Wooten. Travels with a member of the Court of Dusk. Also a treatise on the Five Races.
