Empowered "Pew Pew Pew" Special: Story & art by Adam Warren. Emp & a variety of super-vills have all got some frustrations. Frustations that maybe can solved with some super-science ray gun blaster action?
Conan the Avenger #20: Script Fred Van Lente, art Brian Ching, colors Michael Atiyeh & letters Richard Starkings & Comicraft. Conan's new guard captain job is endangered cause his lady boss turns out to have a twin witch sister who is all cranky about being abandoned to die in the desert as a baby.
Groo Friends & Foes #11: the Minstrel: By Sergio Aragones, wordsmith Mark Evanier, colorist Tom Luth & letterer Stan Sakai. Groo joins a band. As a drummer naturally. Also Kayli finally seems to have found her father.
The Fade Out #11: Writer Ed Brubaker, artist Sean Phillips & colors by Elizabeth Breitweiser. Amidst all the blackmail and threats and Commies and actors behaving badly and old men who maybe used the faux Little Rascals/Our Gang as a pedo-ring I've kind of lost track of the original mystery. A murdered actress right?
Saga #31: Art by Fiona Staples, written by Brian K. Vaughn & letters & design by Fonografiks. Sophie is now four years old and getting ready to leave POW preschool for POW kindergarten. Also slightly surprising wang shot.
