New Comics Day 10/19/11
Oct. 19th, 2011 09:23 pmNew Dark Horse Presents this week. With the highpoint still being "Finder". Though Chaykin's tough-guy thief story looks to be picking up. And a nice short piece by Andi Watson about attempting to teach zombies to dance. Oh and Eric Powell of "The Goon" opens the issue up with a strong piece where a robot gets the SPAAAACE MADNESS...
The latest Darkwing Duck is the second part of a four issue cross-over with the new Duck Tales comic. So that means Scrooge and the nephews and..er..what was the girl's name? Something with Web in it? Shoot, I used to know this. Stupid old brain...
Dungeons & Dragons begins a new story arc. With dwarves who are jerks instead of the last arc's elves who were jerks. Also some kind of freak-bug 4e monster...
The nuDC Blue Beetle still has much of the same set-up, but the Scarab is more actively opposed towards Jamie as host. And the Reach is more of the slaughter everything with overwhelming force kind of aliens rather than the sneak around and take over with sneakiness kind of bad aliens...
Wonder Woman takes Hermes and Zola to a hopeful safe haven in Paradise Island. But another one of Hera and Zeus' children comes following them...
And finally Savage Dragon sees the return of Dimension X baddie Deathseed. Who attempts to overwhelm the Earth with Absorbanoid monster things. Also a back-up with Vanguard trying to think of a way to both avoid his recall notice and to keep his people's military from getting involved with Earth...
