Our Idiot Brother

Paul Rudd plays Ned, who has gotten out of jail early for good behavior. And the opening scene where he gets busted after selling pot to a uniformed police officer pretty well sums up his character. Generous, not to bright and doesn't stop to worry about the consequences of what he does. So, just out of jail, Ned finds that his girlfriend has taken up with a different good natured pothead and won't give him back his dog. So he ends up living with his three sisters (Emily Mortimer, Elizabeth Banks and Zooey Deschanel) sowing chaos in their lives. But because its a feel good comedy, everything works out in the end and everyone winds up in a better place because of Ned. Cute movie, with Rudd doing the heavy lifting of making the concept work...
